I've just downloaded ActiveSync 3.8, and, when I download and run the
file, I see the files decompressing, but then nothing--and I mean
nothing--happens--no set-up, no partnership, no nuthin'.
I'm running XP Pro and a Compaq Ipaq 3650 (old, I know, but it works
and does what I need). When I try to sync the iPaq with the desktop,
nothing happens.
I've rebooted (soft and hard), changed USB connectors, reset my iPaq,
all to no avail. Nothing shows up in msconfig.
Anyone have a clue as to what's wrong? This has never happened with
earlier iterations of ActiveSync. I'm also running Avantgo, but I doubt
that matters because no set-up screen for ActiveSync even appears.
