Problems Syncing Blackjack with ActiveSync Anthony 05-08-2007

I just purchased my new Blackjack and downloaded ActiveSync to my computer, I
have tried to sync the phone and I continually receive a message that states
that the program cannot sync with the moblie device. No error message
appears on the the phone, but the program at least starts up and tries to
find the device.

I have followed all of the instructions on the Activesync site, redownloaded
and redownloaded the program and I have reset my phone twice. Nothing seems
to work. The only thing that I can think of is if the phone was connected to
the computer before or while ActiveSynce was downloaded. I don't know if
this is the problem or not, but it is the only other scenario that I see when
I read the instructions where I could have went wrong. Is there anyway to
fix this? Is it the device or my computer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I have no idea what else to do.

That maybe the problem. Try to remove AS on your Desktop, reboot and
reinstall it. Connect your Smartphone and Sync.

Unfortunately I have done that several times and it still does not fix the
issue.

Is there any other option or solution to the problem?

Not being able to use ActiveSync eliminates a ROM update via USB and I think
they warn against any other connections for firmware updates.

In Texas, Sprint has 'area' technical centers. All of DFW has only two that
I know of. Even as a developer using Cingular, the local offices usually
don't have a 'techie' but have passed off sales reps that knew enough to
solve my issue du jour.

In a major jam, I have driven to the Ft Worth office of a national repair
center operated by radio Shack and offered to throw myself on their sword.
They are nice enough to quote a price before hand and honest enough to guess
whether or not they can fix the problem.

Short of that, I'd hope you had backed up before the trouble started, then
do a hard reset.

Are you connecting via Bluetooth or USB?
