Problems Installing the latest version of MSN Toolbar burningmysoul 01-26-2006

 Hi,

I have a message saying that I should remove the older version of msn
toolbar before installing the newest one but using the add/remove programs
but the problem is that I don't have any versions of msn toolbar running in
my computer. I tried this for several times and I can't install the toolbar.

Any help would be welcome.

Did you have the Installer running previously? Try using the MSI Installer
cleanup utility to see if you have a partial install of the toolbar leftover.

Hi Stephen,

I downloaded the MSI installer but it's not showing anything for msn
toolbar... still couldn't do anything.

Hmmm... And I see I had a typo in my earlier reply. I need more sleep. :-)
I meant to say, you did have the MSN Toolbar installed previously? Did you
uninstall it via add/remove programs?
If the MSI Installer cleanup utility doesn't see it, that would lead me to
believe you don't have a broken install, but I would want to confirm that you
can't see the Toolbar or any of the add-ins in Add/Remove Programs.

The only thing I have in the add/remove programs is the msn installer which
leads me to the msn explorer. Apart from that nothing else is showing there.
I had the toolbar installed previously and I removed it via add/remove
programs.
