 I can't seem to run the debugger on the smartphone. I always get the
messages:

"The Platform Manager server failed."
"Failed to connect to the device."

My ActiveSync (3.7.1) is running and copying the file over to the device
works fine but trying to execute it from evc has no joy.

Can you connect to the debugger? have you run
\program files\windows ce tools\wce420\smartphone 2003\tools\spdps.exe
/device /create
when your device is docked?

This works!! I don't know what this call does but amazingly I can slove code

If you cold boot the smartphone you'll have to run it again.
