Hi there,

we're using Windows Desktop Search 2.6.500 and have problems with searching.
Either Some elements could not be found or thousand of elements which have
nothing to do with the search string are found.

I created a test file called ipass.txt with the content iPassConnect and
refreshed the index of Window Desktop Search. Then I searched for the strings:
- ipa: file was found
- ipass.: file was found
- ipass.txt: file was found
- ipass: file was NOT found

Why can the file not be found after entering just ipass which is part of
both file name and content?

This is only one example for many similiar problems. The problem is not
related to one system; I've tried it on different computers with the same
result.

Thank you in forward for any help!

Best regards
Manuel

Somehow you lost me here...
- ipass.: file was found
- ipass: file was NOT found

have you tried "title:ipass" or "document:ipass" ?

JR
