Hi
I have a problem caused when searching for my company in a search engine,
whereby the result only returns a page within my site and not the home page.
What's happening is that because my site uses frames, and because the search
engine doesn't return the home page, the user only sees the contents of the
main body which ought to appear in a frame.
Is this a common problem, and one which I can easily work around?

Have you considered rebuilding your site without frames?
Unfortunately, this problem you have described is a reason that most
new sites do not use frames. There is not much you can do to fix this
otherwise.

This is a good thing isn't it, the visitor is taken to the page
containing the information they seek.

yes

There are work-a-rounds, that may be suitable in your circumstances.
Usually it is less work and more beneficial to rework the site without
frames.
