Problem with MSN Weather add-in JoeM 11-15-2005

Here is the situation, I have 3 username on a computer, and each username
has administrator rights. On the first username I download and installed
MSN Desktop Search and MSN Weather. I went into each username and set up
MSN Desktop search and entered the zip for the weather. I had install MSAS
on this machine to make sure there was no Spyware on the machine. After I
did a scan on each username, I found the first username no longer shows the
MSN Weather in the toolbar. When I go into setup in the toolbar it does not
show MSN Weather. I checked the other two usernames and they show the MSN
Weather and it is working fine. On the first username I tried to do a
repair of MSN Weather but that did not work. If anyone can give me any
ideas or advice I will try it.

Hi Joe, I'm not going to be real useful at the moment, but I'll see if I can
come up with any suggestions and get back to you tomorrow. I haven't encountered
this problem and I don't run any multiple User ID computers, but I can certainly
add one or two and test it out.

Thanks, weird problem. The only thing I can come up with is that MSAS
prevented it at some point. But MSAS is no longer on the computer and
should be causing a problem.

Joe:
Sorry that I'm still not going to be much help. I set up additional User IDs and
was unsuccessful at duplicating your issue. It works on each ID. On the ID that
no longer has the weather add-in, perhaps you can install it again to get the
functionality beack. I can't imagine why it was disabled, but I have seen
reports of add-ins disappearing for no apparent reason.

I have tried that but did not work. I suspect that is was MSAS that caused
the problem, but not sure. I have also tried to reproduce it but it seems
to happen at random on different machines(but all machies that have had the
problem had MSAS installed)
