Hi,

The help file for wds says in 'about desktop search':-

'Microsoft® Windows Desktop Search is the fastest way to search your
computer for anything, such as e-mail messages in Microsoft Office Outlook®
or Microsoft Outlook Express, as well as data files, music files, photos, and
previously viewed Web pages.'

I have never seen it search previously viewed web pages and I have also seen
mention in some news/tech articles that there were security implications in
searching previously viewed web pages so wds may not support that (unlike
google ds).

Can anyone tell me if it does actually search previously viewed web pages or
not? If it does, I imagine there is something really stupid I am doing wrong
so if anyone has any pointers ...!

Cheers
Dan

You need to install an extra protocol handler (IEHistoryPHInstaller.msi).
Knowledge Base articel 918998
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=918998
describes it and contains the download link
