Hey all,

My PocketPC refuses to update contacts from my exchange server. I can add
them to the PocketPC and then they update to the server. I can also delete
the same newly created updates on my desktop (exchange server) and then they
dissappear from the PocketPC upon next sync. However my original contacts
won't sync up at all.

I tried removing them all to a PST and then adding them one by one and see
if there was a broken contact keeping them from updating but I could only get
one to add successfully. However, I removed it and added it again on the
Exchange side and can't get it to sync to the PocketPC...

Mainly, its the inconsistency that is frustrating so any help you all give
me would be greatly appreciated. We are a bit lost over here as to the cause
as this isn't happening to anyone else. Thanks.

Good news!

It turns out that this was a Symantec issue. Everybody using a PocketPC
apparently was having some sort of problem, but it was manifested in either
delayed email, incorrect calendar appointments or some other Outlook anomaly.
Our Windows Admin found on Microsoft Technet forums that if Symantec on
Exchange is set to scan messages (ie anything it seems) whenever the user
requests it to be sent to a device (ie Activesync's request for info) then
the process can fail as Activesync has some sort of conflict with this
process. This can be remedied by changing Symantec's rules to scan as soon
as the email is recieved by the domain. I know this seems to only pertain to
E-mails but it allows everything to sync correct again. the solution can be
