I am having problems setting up GPS with Pocket Streets 2005. I am =
using a Treo 700w, Pocket Streets 2005, Globalsat SD-502 GPS device.

When I open Pocket Streets and attempt to set up the GPS function, I =
receive an error message stating that the Bluetooth device is not =
detected. I don't have the set up the GPS receiver option when I go to =
the GPS menu. All I have available is the start GPS function.

The GPS device works fine because I have tried using another navigation =
program and it receives data without any problem. I have tried changing =
the ports on the GPS, but that does not make any difference.

I stopped the Bluetooth service on the phone as well. However, I have =
not read anything that Pocket Streets can only use a Bluetooth GPS =
device. If there are other setup options for Pocket Streets, I have not =
seen them.

I have searched the MS KB and the GPS setup instructions provided assume =
that the 'setup receiver' function is available; and in my case its not. =
I have reinstalled pocket streets various times as well.

thank you

Is your GPS device a bluetooth unit ?
Pocket Streets automatically looks for a bluetooth device in range if
it does not already have a configuration for one. You do not have to
pair the device to your phone.

Try GPSPins ( a PS addon ) to see it you can get your device to work
with this utility. There is a free download available.
