Are you thinking of writing code to extend the functionality of Pocket
Streets itself? Don't think that is possible and possibly a violation of the
copyright.
On the other hand, you do understand that Pocket Streets is just displaying
locations handed to it by the GPS via a serial interface. WM5 has a feature,
though hidden by some OEMs, that allows you to split the GPS data among
applications. You could drive Pocket Streets and another program from the
same data stream. I don't think you could overlay other stuff on top of
Pocket Streets.
There are BTW many programs that do not suffer the shortcomings of Pocket
Streets. They are however priced in accordance with their lack of
shortcomings, just as Pocket Streets is priced in accordance with them.
