I have Streets and Trips 2006 and installed the pocket version on my Motorola
MPx 220 Smartphone running 2003 SE.

The user guide said that I would be able to open a map, click on menu and
chose "find contact" to map the address of a contact. This option is not
available. The online tutorial for Pocket Streets 2005 lists tap and hold,
which, as far as I know, is not possible on a smartphone.

Is there any way to map your contacts with Pocket Streets 2006 on a
Smartphone running 2003 SE.

Thank you

Rick

Don't know the Smartphone interface, but it's the other way around on
the ppc... you open the _contacts_ application, find the contact, then
use the contacts option menu to "find on map" which then switches to or
launches pocket streets and displays a pushpin on the address location.

Note... pocket streets must have a map containing the address open when
you do this _or_ the last map that was open must contain the address.

Hope this works... please report back.

Thanks, but there is no option to find on map within the contacts application
either. It seems that in this version or for the smartphone 2003 there is no
integration with contacts or appointments.

hmmm... wondering if this is a port bug... just pulled up contacts on a
wm5 ppc device using only buttons, selected a contact then <menu> and
there was no "find on map" option.

Then tap/held the contact and the option showed up in the resulting
menu... the kicker is that following that action, the "find on map"
subsequently showed up using only button navigation... i.e. when the
contact was selected, it came up as a menu button option.

Suggest trying as many options as you have within contacts to pull up a
menu on the contact to see if something triggers the inclusion into the
menu.

For example, this exercise just exposed the fact that press/hold a
selected contact with the "action button" on the ppc is the equivalent
of a tap/hold with a stylus.

Would also confirm that the contact(s) you use to test have a valid
address on the current map as there may be some latency for a "lookup"

There just doesn't appear to be any such integration on the SP version. Been
looking for it for a while here trying to find some way.
