I have a windows mobile 2003 device and can sync using windows mobile device
center. The thing is I would like to sync to the windows mail and calendar
apps that come with vista.

The contacts, calendar, email etc options are there but are not selectable.

I have outlook 2002 but have not installed it because there are some
password issues when used with Vista.

Hi,

Presently there is no solution which would allow you to synchronize the
mobile device with Vista mail and calendar.

So in other words Microsoft expect people to pay for office if they want to
sync a pocket pc properly?

Without wishing to rant: that sucks!

I've been a MS customer for many years and I never fail to be amazed by the
stupidity of the company.

Maybe it's time to go Linux.

No, they expect you to use the version of Outlook that came with your
PPC, I suspect, just like you did with XP. XP included Outlook Express
(mail, contacts, etc.) but you couldn't sync to that either.
If running Outlook 2k2 is really a big problem, I suspect MS will either
include sync support for the Vista-included mail, contacts and calendar
apps eventually, or ship newer, more compatible, versions of Outlook with
future PPCs, like Outlook 2003.
