I've got an off-brand Pocket PC that isn't WiFi
or Blue Tooth enabled and I'm just starting to
investigate adapters. I've searched many FAQ's
and the answers I'm looking for, at least for me,
are not clear.

Does the connector at the bottom of PDA's
(the one that plugs into a syncing cradle) use
some kind of universal standard? If so, what's
it called?

Will devices made to utilize that connector, that
are built for one model of Pocket PC, work in
one made by a completely different manufacturer?

Are there any Blue Tooth adapters that utilize
that connector, as opposed to CF slots?

Why? I like my Pocket PC and I don't want to get
another. I find the thought of turning it into a GPS
fascinating. It's got an SD card slot. I've seen CF
Bluethooth adapters. I don't know it's there's SD
adapters but I'm thinking I'll need that storage for
maps.

TIA,

For example

http://www.cypressindustries.com/products/pda.html

offers (a lot of different) connectors for various PDAs.
Most connectors will have a sort of USB (unfortunately,
USB client, not Host) or RS232 on some pin, but the exact
layout usually seems pretty different.

No, i don't own a dozen PDAs to compare :-)
