I have one PC that when I try to Import from Database to Mobile Device with
an Access database I get an error that says "A synchronization partnership
cannot be created because the source database name is too long. ... " It
copies the database to the pocket PC OK, just refuses to synchronize it.

I have hard booted the pocket pc, no help. It works fine from another PC
... this database and this pocket pc ... but from this PC it does not work.

Help

Hi Rick,

You could copy the database closer to the root directory so that the path is
shorter. Once the database is imported, you can go to Tools-> Options ->
Access under Properties and change the path to the original path.

On this machine it won't even copy it over from the root directory of the C:
drive for some reason! It works on other PCs so it is a PC problem.

Does it happen even if you have administrative rights on your computer?

Yes,

I have a server but there are only two of us at my business and both of us
are full administrators. It happens right now only on my main development
machine, no others.
