 Hi

        I just bought a second-hand Palm Vx on eBay that is supposed
to be in working condition, but maybe the battery was totally empty.
It's been connected to power plug via the serial plug for about 4
hours now, but pressing the green button still doesn't switch it on.

Before I send an e-mail to the seller, can someone tell me how long it
should take for a totally empty battery to be loaded enough to switch
the thing on?

OK, I'm a bit further: Doing a soft reset with a paper clip switched
on the Palm... but the gree power button doesn't work: I can't switch
the unit off, and I have to wait the 30 seconds that is the time set
for the auto-switchoff. Upgrading from 3.5.0 to 3.5.3 didn't solve the
issue.

Anybody seen this?

... and finally, for those seeing the same thing: The PalmV(x, at
least) is well know for having a weak power button. To make it work,
press at an angle... and it should work.
