I just replaced my desktop search beta with the final release.
Unfortunately, I found the beta much more useful. The problem
is that I use the search tool mostly to index my local .pdf files.
The beta showed my search term and surrounding text; the
final release doesn't (for .pdf files).
The final release also won't automatically preview my .pdf files.
I have to override the security message in the preview pane every time.
This is highly inconvenient.
So, all I get is the file name for .pdfs and a security message in the
preview pane.
Is there some way to automatically get, for .pdfs:
(1) search term highlights? and
(2) automatic previews?
If not, this release is, for me, a step backwards from the
very helpful previous beta. (Can I re-install the beta?)
