Outlook E-Mail notification Luckybob 02-02-2007

I have a Palm Treo 700wx, and I use it to interface with my Exchange server.
E-mails that come to my inbox bring up a notification without any issue, but
e-mails sent to specific folders due to a rule do not come up with a
notification. Is the anyway to setup the folders to notify me when a new
e-mail has arrived?

In case there is some confusion, I do get the e-mails destin for folders
other than the inbox, but I do not get a notification.

Thanks,
Luckybob

Hi Luckybob,

Currently the notification is only fired if the new mail lands in the Inbox
on the device. This same behavior is what you will see on Outlook when
paried with exchange. Since your rules are invoked prior to the sync event
and the mail is in the destination folder during sync, no notification will
be executed.

Thanks,

Thats it? There is no work around for this? I am aware that Outlook has
the same shortcommings, as I have had to create a notification for other
e-mails.

I can't belive Microsoft would limit its product so much.
