Windows Desktop Search will only index the C Drive Folders (My Docs etc)

I have tried using Custom and selecting the Drives and Folders, and using
E-Mail and All Hard Drives.

The Custom Settings do not seem to be retained when I check it.

Can anyone help how I can force it to index Other Drives and Other Folders
in those Drives

I have just rebuilt my machine - previously it found 18000 odd docs - not it
only finds 5000 and thats from the C Drive.
