Using Activsync 3.8
want to sync 1 PDA and 2 computers.

Would this be correct:

On connection to first PC set up to partnership to sync with one =
computer.

On second PC set up partnership to sync with 2 computers.

The directions on ActiveSync help are a bit misleading to me:(see below)
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=

=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D
This I understand:
o ensure that synchronization functions properly, the two desktop =
computers must be configured with the same synchronization settings. For =
example, you should synchronize the same types of information using the =
same synchronization settings on both desktop computers. Both desktop =
computers should also use the same personal information manager (PIM).=20

Note: No.1 means to me to do as I have suggested since I do not yet have =
a partnership already with another computer.

1 If your device already has a partnership with a desktop computer, go =
to step 4. Otherwise, connect your mobile device to the first desktop =
computer using a cable or infrared connection. The New Partnership =
wizard will start automatically.
2 Follow the directions on the screen.=20
3 After you have set up a partnership and synchronization is complete, =
disconnect your device from the first computer.
4 Connect your device to the second desktop computer using a cable or =
infrared connection. The New Partnership wizard will start.

5 Follow the directions on the screen.
6 In the Select Number of Partnerships dialog box, select No, I want to =
synchronize with two computers.
7 Follow the directions on the screen.

Hi,

Yes, you will need to set it up one at a time. For more information -

Thank you,
I now see what happened in my case. I had to restore the ROM image of my old
IPAQ due to some unresolveable issues and as a result when I connected to
establish a partnership, my old partnership was still there consequently
creating a situation whereby a partnership already existed. Solved the issue
by deleting all partnerships and giving my device a new name.
