Using a Vaio preinstalled with Vista Home Premium

I called the Microsoft India support and they say PG is not availiable in
India, told about them about this link
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/mediacenter/getstarted/guide.mspx
Then the guy says "The article is outdated and he's gonna forward the issue
to remove India from the list", Unbelievable!

Anyways the specific issue I have is that when VistaMC asks for the zip
code, enterning my pin code comes up with Error "Guide Listings Not Available"

Here is amother person with the same issue:

This would need to be reported using the EPG error submission form. I don't
have the link for the one for India.

Here's the link to the US page, but it probably won't do you much good

Hi Robi,#

I am facing the same issue. Have you found a solution?
I bought a Media Center and no guide
Microsoft is misleading customers and we should all get together and bring a
class action law suit against them, they should know better.

just FYI, I'm using a Lenovo PC with Vista Home Premium. MS also states
that they support the TV guide for India on XP. Is there anyone out there
using XP that has managed to get the guide to work or is that also another
one of their scams to get unsuspecting consumers top part with their dollar/
rupees???

I'm having the same problem too. I have an Acer desktop with Vista
Ultimate and the program guide was working properly for several
months. After I re-tuned the channels recently, the guide would refuse
to download regardless of the postal code I entered. I tried 560001
(Bangalore) and the default 110019, but I keep getting an error
stating that the guide is not available for the postal code I entered.
The 560001 code worked fine when I initially set up my media center
months ago. I've run Windows update and downloaded all the required/
recommended updates, but I still have the same problem. The program
guide is provided by MSN India, which still has TV listings for India
on the MSN India portal.

Can anyone help? Please?
