Hello, I am not getting any sound from my laptop. It is a Toshiba Sat
A.70. P4 with 1.5gb ram.. The volume slider and all volume controls
are greyed out. I have run AVG 8.5, Malwarebytes, and Windows Defender
all in safe mode with no infections detected. The Realtek 97 drivers
are current, still no sound. Any ideas as to why? It had sound a week
ago and no changes or programs have been made or added. Any help would
be great.
Thanks in advance
-J

Re: "The volume slider and all volume controls are greyed out"

This suggests that the sound card drivers (the proper drivers) are not
installed (or not installed correctly).
