My company has some software that downloads and installs into mobile
devices, via ActiveSync (as Guest). The problem I am having with my new
i930 smartphone is that it fails to install because there is no digital
signature. When I download the software from our Intranet site my WindowXP
workstation notices this and warns me, but allows me to proceed anyway. My
i930 doesn't appear to allow me to proceed and just automatically fails the
install.
I don't have any control over the software so there isn't anything I can do
about the missing digital signature. Everything I've been able to read
indicates my i930 is running MS Mobile 3.0, second edition. First, is there
a way to verify this on the i930? Second, does anybody know of a way to
configure MS Mobile to either prompt or default accept software without a
digital signature?
Thanx,
Jon
