I tested this one and it's promising but very limited compared to some
other free (or even opensource) GIS system.
Formats supported are good - except that WMS/WFS support is missing. So
you can't use existing mapping server information.
"Spatial queries". Unless this means that you can get information from
objects under single point. To me it's a bit more than that like "select
all objects that are inside some area" and that functionality was missing.
You couldn't load text (annotation for example) at all (well it loads
location but you can't control how labels are displayed).
Everything from shapefile (and I assume from everywhere else too) is
loaded completely in memory. I have 5 layers totaling 450k elements and
loading them killed my current laptop (this has 512M memory). Smaller
shapes worked pretty well.
GUI was plain and simple and thus those familiar with Windows programs
can use it pretty painless.
Exports works as everything is exported as image shown in display -
vector formats or interactive flash would be über cool..
