Hi there!
I am wondering if anyone else has this problem, becuase it's making me
a little nuts!
I set up Windows Desktop Search to index parts of a mapped drive, on my
partner's computer.
Everything seems to work alright, but occasionally, when I try to open
a file from her machine (ie. a PDF, DOC, Visio file, or otherwise)...
...The application will appear to hang for about 15 seconds, with no
network activity.
It's very annoying.
I know this has to do with Desktop Search, becuase while I am suffering
through this annoying pause, if I right click on the Magnifying Glass
in the System Tray, and close WDS... The doc opens immediately!!
What is going on here?
I am actually using version 02.05.000 of the toolbar (the MSN Deskbar).
If I try to upgrade to 2.6 or 2.65, it crashes every 30 seconds while
indexing my files.
Has anyone else experienced this type of lag? Any ideas? Help would
be much appreciated.
