Please excuse this (naive) question, but, under Win2k3, how do we
duplicate the security permissions of a given folder? It is obviously
possible through simple manual replication of all the permissions, but
the process is quite error-prone.

Does anyone knows how to do that in more straightforward way?

Thanks in advance,

Hello Joannes,

Do you mean copying to a new folder on the same drive or on another server
or just on a sub folder?

Best regards

Sorry for being unclear.
--> New folder, same drive, same server, NOT a sub folder.

Maybe FileACL by Guillaume Bordier at
<http://www.gbordier.com/gbtools/fileacl.htm> can help you.

Hello Michael,

You can unse robocopy from MS or XXcopy (freeware) to set security permissions
via command line or script.
