Thanks for your help. I tried your suggestion, and then, during the second
setup attempt, Media Center locked up the system -- ehrecvr went to 99
percent CPU, and I had to kill it. I'm going to keep trying, but I thought
each time you go into the TV signal setup, it clears out everything and
starts from scratch. Then it would be a matter of which analog tuner it sees
first, I guess. Is there any way to affect the order in which Media Center
configures the tuners?
Thanks again.

I had the same problem, but in my case it appeared to be a cabling situation.
I had my Pinnacle connected through a USB hub. It appeared to be working ok,
but I could not get it to play nice with my Hauppauge analog tuner. When I
eliminated the hub, the problem went away -- Media Center correctly
configured the Hauppauge to do analog and the Pinnacle to do OTA DTV. I
would suspect the hub just messed things up generally, but the Pinnacle
worked perfectly through the hub -- it was the Hauppauge I couldn't get on
board.
This doesn't really make sense to me, but I have a theory. Perhaps before,
the Pinnacle was configured first, and both the DTV and analog tuners were
made active. Then the Hauppauge was configured, but there was already an
analog tuner -- so it got ignored. Now, because I changed the connections,
the Hauppauge gets configured first. When the Pinnacle is configured now, its
analog tuner is ignored because the Hauppauge is already there, and the DTV
tuner does get activated. Or maybe it's exactly the reverse, and the last one
wins. Whatever. It's working now, so I'm happy. well, almost. I get no audio
on the DTV OTA channels on the MCE PC. Through my XBOX360 extenders, the
audio is fine, so I can ignore it. Curiously, back when I couldn't get the
Hauppauge to work, the audio through the Pinnacle did work. That sort of
implies I got a different driver somehow, or maybe the Hauppauge config
clobbers the Pinnacle audio, but I really think I'm done experimenting right
now. I got it fixed in time for the Olympics, so I'm claiming a major victory.
I don't know if this helps or not, but I guess I'm suggesting you change
your connections randomly until it works. :)
