I received a Treo 700w phone this week and notice that there is no backup
option in activesync 4.1. Has this functionality been hidden or does it not
come with this unit? My old 4355 and v 3.8 of Active sync had a backup
command.

The backup in ActiveSync was removed in 4.1 due to the Persistent Storage aspect
of WM5
devices.

That said, there are some backup applications that will work with Windows Mobile
5. The
two most common I see here in the newsgroup are Sprite backup and Spb Backup. I
have a
review of Spb Backup on my site at
http://www.clintonfitch.com/reviews/spb/backup-1-0/default.asp.

Hope this helps,

I agree this is a great backup program.
