I'm having a problem with my multimedia 2005 computer which is connected
through coaxial cable from a Motorola DCT 2524 setup box provided by Shaw
Cable Networks. The multimedia computer recognizes the setup box and IR
device; however when programming the windows controller with the IR connector
that is over my IR on my Motorola setup box, the wizard recognizes the
controller's buttons (press 1 - 4 times...etc.) but I cannot change the
channels using the windows controller and IR connectors when finishing the
wizard. The channel numbers change but the video does not??? I have tried
many different connections and setups....coaxial seems to work cause video
and audio work. Is there something wrong with my setup box? Do I have to
upgrade?? am I missing steps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
