To clarify, Blackberry BES has a function where if you lose your phone or if
it is stolen you can erase the phone from the BES server. Does Windows
Mobile have this functionality and where can I find it or read about it?

Yes, sort of. That functionality is dependent on Exchange Server 2003 and
SP2, and the Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP) being
installed/available on the WM5 platform. MSFP has been released to OEMs some
time ago, but has only recently been starting to be seen on devices. A good
number of vendors have committed to providing it as an update to current
platforms. If you google for MSFP or spell it out, you should be able to
find a lot of information, and a lot of disgruntled folks because it isn't
already out in force ;)
