Hi,
I have a strange problem with Active Sync 4.5, used with my HTC Touch
smartphone + Personal PC + Pro PC.
Both PC run Windows XP + Outlook 2003. Pro PC Outlook is connected to
an Exchange server.

Calendar is synching ok for the following "arrows" (directions of
syncing) :
personal PC => HTC <=> proPC

the problem is on the following arrow :
personal PC <= HTC

In this last case, calendar entries from HTC get synced into personal
PC calendar only if they were created on the HTC, but not if they were
originally created on the proPC and then synced to the HTC.

At the end, I cannot see calendar entries created on the pro PC, on my
personal PC.

Any idea , Can it come from the Exchange server ?

thank you for your help !

Hi,
The issue may come from Exchange. Microsoft setup your device to not merge
data from Exchange with two PCs.

Thanks Chris : do you mean there is some setup to change, either on
Exchange or on ActiveSync, or is there no way to change that
behaviour ?

Hi,
Microsoft designed a limitation to only sync with one PC and Exchange.
There is no option to sync with a second PC.

Just to clarify- is your HTC setup to sync with Exchange, or is the PC (or
PCs)?

If the phone is setup to sync with just the two computers, you should be
able to sync between two PCs, given the usual restrictions (only items in
the mail Calendar folder will sync- nothing in any subfolders.)
