 I'll give the order of things and hopefully someone can clue me in. I have
music in i-tines. I burned it to a CD. Then I ripped it from the CD to
Media Player on the PC. Next I named the songs in the group "Moms Mix". It
shows up fine in My Playlists.
Now I connect my Cingular 2125 to the PC and hit the sync button in Media
Player. It shows the songs being loaded. When completed, I disconnect phone
from PC and look for the playlist on my phone.
It's not there. I selected the "storage card" library so that's not it.
The songs are there. Then are in the library under "My Music", "All Music".
So how do I get a playlist listed in "My Playlists"? Sorry if this
sounds confusing.

wmp/ppc/async situation is pretty confused to begin with.

The general concensus is to use another media player as wmp on the ppc
essentially went south starting with ppc version 10.

I have found that if you tell Media Player to sync specific Playlists then
you will see the playlist correctly on the smartphone. Its done under the
Setup Sync option in Media Player I seem to recall.

You _have_ my attention. However...

I just spent a good while going through wmp10 on my pc and was unable to
find any obvious way to do what you suggest.

I sincerely hope it's there, so, may I request that you post the baby
steps to get to the location you describe?

Just spent some more time on this and found on wmp10;

sync
pulldown "sync list" (top of left pane)
select a playlist
sync

However, the above process doesn't create a playlist. It simply copies
the files to the device in playlist order...

The design approach of the wmp team is that non pc players are low
capacity toys that can only contain a couple of cd's worth of content
which the user will decide on sitting a the pc and be limited to
listening only based on that prior decision rather than storing a large
percentage of their content on the device then selecting items and lists
depending on the current mobile mood.

No wonder itsnotapod ;-/
