Media Center no longer works on 2nd monitor Mike Gora 05-18-2007

I've had Media Center 2002 on my laptop for over two years, and usually watch
TV on it on a 2nd monitor. That worked with no problems for over 2 years.

A week ago, Media Center stopped working on the 2nd monitor. But everything
else works, including games using DirectX.

When I drag the Media Center window to the 2nd monitor, the window is
entirely black, and the sound stops. When I drag it back to the laptop
monitor, everything is fine again.

What could be going on?

Mike,

Had same thing just happen on my desktop with MCE 2005. Works fine on my
LCD monitor but will not move to a CRT based TV using a RF generator. Black
box and no sound. It worked fine until the last week. Think it is related
to the last update from our good friends at MS. Have not tried my laptop but
will go do that now.

Laurie,

it's good to hear that someone else has the same problem, and that the
problem seems to occur on both MCE2002 and MCE2005. That implies that even
more people are likely to have the problem.

If enough people have the problem perhaps we will get a resolution. I was
fairly surprised that no one else had mentioned the issue.
