Hello all. I hope this is the correct newsgroup.

I have an HP iPaq hw6945 with Windows Mobile 5 on T-Mobile service. This is
an unlocked phone if that makes any diff.

In the blue bar at the top there is a white square with an "E" in it instead
of the white square with a "G". next to it is the signal strength with a
small "E" instead of a "G".

I've looked on the Microsoft website at the listing of the status icons but
it only lists the "G". What does the "E" mean?

Thanks

Edwin

I have T-Mobile which offers it in some cities like L.A. I am in Podunk,
Kansas but I sometimes get the "E" when the phone is connecting through
Cellular One towers which are used by T-Mobile. It doesn't seem any faster
though I think I have seen 160K bits which is OK for most things. Slow data
does get tiresome though.
