You can create favorites on your desktop and save them the "Mobile
Favorites" folder in the desktop's Favorites. Any favorites in that
folder will sync with device's favorites every time you sync the device.

Chris De Herrera's website, PocketPCFAQ.com is a pretty good start. Most
of the Winows Mobile "how to" books I've seen a wee bit outdated today,
and the OS changes in recent versions might make those books even more
confusing to newcomers.
