NOT happy with this program which often seems to be recommended in here !!
Difficult to uninstall, (tried uninstalling | reinstalling | uninstalling
again) e.g. :-
then, regsvr32 -u mbamext.dll
or regsvr32 -u C:\windows\pathaname\malwarebytes stupid dir. name with
apostrophe in it\mbamext.dll
would not work.
Parent web-site seems to be littered with advice on how to cope with a
multitude of sins !!!
...now my registry is littered with redundant MalwareBytes registry entries
!
BEFORE INSTALLING "Malwarebytes anti-malware," (as with all appps.), MAKE
SURE that you make an XP restore point BEFORE installing it, so that after
"uninstalling" it, you can put your registry back into the condition it was
in, before installing yet one more program with a "token gesture" uninstall
routine !

..and after some housekeeping, I seem to have got rid of -> "Windows was
unable to find C:\Program." ...which is always a REALLY useful, and REALLY
informative advisory from XP !!!

Yes. Even Microsoft employees have recommended MBAM to users with
malware troubles. MBAM enjoys a fine reputation.

Why was MBAM being un/re/uninstalled? Are you saying that the MBAM
uninstaller itself is leaving too many residual entries in your system
that you believe could be bothersome?

What is in your "etc" expression?
Hello Richard:
Your situation seems to have gotten the best of your emotions.
Thousands have /not/ experienced what you are trying to express.
Your system may be suffering corruption that is causing your distress.
I'm not knocking Spybot-S&D, but once MBAM & SAS are installed, many
will not employ Spybot-S&D.
Perhaps you could explain the root cause of your MBAM trouble or your
system's trouble.
As an alternative, you might prefer to open a trouble ticket with
email to: support@malwarebytes.org or post to the MBAM forum you're
aware of.
Do you believe it might be helpful for others if you revealed more OS
details pertaining to the system you're working with?

...I think I was having a bad day, plus I seem to be getting absent minded
these days, so ...forgetting to un-immunize, and switch off Tea-Timer module
in Spybot S&D, before trial-ing and error-ing various anti-malware programs,
not to mention the undocumented behaviours, and interactions, of other
anti-malware programs with "other" anti-malware programs.
It seems to be easier at some times, and harder at other times, to remain
aware of exactly how various anti-malware programs are behaving - and what
they are doing, ...and allowing, ...and preventing !!! :-)
I do like to experiment with a wide range of anti-malware applications, and
monitor what they are doing. AVG has recently been deploying some
impressive algorithms, and techniques, in "their" fight against new malware
variants, ...and I recently read with interest, views expressing diminishing
approval of AVG when, in fact, AVG is putting as much, if not more, effort,
into improving their product than many other anti-malware
vendors....phew...I was wondering when that sentence was going to end. !
In other words, after achieving an "installed application program mix,"
(particularly anti-malware programs), which is problem free, ...it becomes
difficult to bear in mind, over a period of time, the MANY behaviours of
MANY installed applications !
