I have a situation on two different machines in different locations where
having the MSN Search Toolbar installed causes the Internet Explorer process
to run at 100%. This happens when you close the browser window. IE
disappears and the processor spikes indefintiely until the process is manualy
killed using Task Manager. I contacted MSN Support and obtained the
Enterprise Version which does not have Windows Desktop Search functionality
present... I got the same behavior. I also went the the suggested process
of checking other IE addins, looking for valid GUIDs in the registry, etc.
Has anyone run into this problem and/or discovered a solution?
