Do I understand the situation correctly, here? Is there any way to
re-enable the Pocket Access synchronization provider in ActiveSync 4.0
for WM5.0? Finally, does anyone know of a third-party product that
synchronizes Pocket Access databases with WM5.0?

Well, technically there has never been Pocket Access for PocketPC or Windows
Mobile. The Pocket Access sync provider was there to support handheld PCs
which were also served by Activesync. All you ever got was the somewhat
limited capability of that sync provider to synchronize with a .cdb on the
handheld device. You were always at the mercy of third party applications to
manipulate that data. With the Handheld PC pretty much out of the picture,
and the PPC/WM device no longer using the .cdb/ADOCE formats. there was no
longer any reason for MS to support the sync conduit.

That being said.

Hi,
With Windows Mobile 2003 SE, Microsoft announced that they would no longer
support Access Synchronizations in the next release. So it's up to the
developer of the application to redesign it to use SQL Server Mobile or
another file format.
