 Is it possible to use my mpx200 as a modem to connect my PC via a USB cable
so that I can surf the net or pick up emails through my PC into outlook.

1) Unplug from PC
2) Programs->Accessories->Modem Link, Menu->Activate
3) Plug-in, ActiveSync should keep silence, windows will find "a new
device" - modem (w2k has own driver)
after windows install a modem, create connection
