Oops- forgot some things:
Also should add that it has worked without problems for 4 months prior to
this incident. It is a Sony Vaio. I also did the things where retored to
last working date, checked time and date, removed EPG (???) folder, and again
disabled security. I have norton antivirus and spygate/spyware also maybe
symantec something?
Sorry, I obviously know NOTHING about computers!! Which makes this even
harder for me! I also may have run a windows update prior to the problem.
Sony website states that there may be a problem after the last windowns
update, but I tried the thing to fix it, and it stated that everything was ok.
Now looking around, I see other people having the problem with no fix.
I think that the tech support was microsoft as opposed to sony. spent
several hours with them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
