I recently installed SP3 and had not experienced any sort of problem with it,
until I tried to play music in Media Center. When I tried to enter it I got
a message reading "Audio Error: To play music in Media Center, install
Windows Media Player 9 or repair your current installation" (same thing when
trying to access the visualization option). However, I already have WMP10
installed and reinstalling it did nothing to remedy the problem. I have MCE
2002 with SP2, though I also have CCCP installed (it operates in MCE fine
with videos and before SP3 with audio files as well). Both MCE and WMP work
fine outside of this problem.
