We posted earlier and was told all MS WinXP Media Center Edition 2005 came
with SP2 already 'installed.' As far as we were concerned, you answered the
question.
However, we received a email that stated: "We understand that you would like
information in regards to the Gateway 8515GZ Sonic Laptop PC. The WinXp
Media Center Edition 2005 does not include SP2."
As you can see, it states MCE 2005 does not come with SP2. Is that possible?
Or is it definite that MCE 2005 does indeed come with SP2 'attached?'
We were thinking of buying the notebook for our grandson (with MCE 2005
installed) and did not want our grandson to have to download/install SP2.
Please advise so we can put this matter to rest, and thank you for your
understanding.

MCE 2005 does include SP2. Disregard that misinformation from
Gateway.

Hi AliceZ,
Windows Media Center edition 2005 has the SP2. You don't have to download
it. You can't avec MCE 2005 without SP2.
(SP2 is one of the characteristic of MCE 2005)

See you
