The guide and scheduled recordings are located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\eHome
You could certainly create backup copies of that folder
for each geographic location, after you go through the
setup. Writing a simple script to restore from one of
those backup folders should be pretty trivial.
I'm not sure if you'd also need to modify the registry
for each geographic location, but if you do:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center
I'd try backing up & restoring the eHome folder first,
and only mess with the registry if you have to, and if
you feel comfortable doing so. Registry hacking can
be hazardous to your PC's health...
Oh, just thought of something else. Some of the files
in the eHome folder may be in use so you might need to
stop the ehSched system service before copying the folder,
then start it up again.
> net stop ehsched
> net start ehsched
Good luck, and please let us know how you make out.
