I have just ordered a Dell 9100 with MCE 2005 and a Linksys Extender.
I prefer that my Dell 9100 be in my kitchen to be used as a workstation.
I presently have my satelite box and TV in my family room.
Does my satelite cable need to go into my PC and then to my TV?
If so is there any other workaround?
I have no way to conceal a cable running from my PC in the kithen to my TV
in the family room.

Any help is appreciated.

I think you'll find you do need a "physical" connection ( ie coax) from your
satellite box to your PC - which means running a cable.

The easiest way to get your cable to both your TV and PC is to split the
cable using a splitter, and then run one cable to the TV and one to the PC.
Hopefully you can find a 'hidden' way to do this. Now however, the MCE TV
signal must get to the TV via the extender. If you have a wireless router (A
or G) then no problem, you can run the extender wirelessly. If not, then
you'll need to run a cable (an ethernet cable) from the router to the
extender.

Hope this helps.

You are more than likely out of luck... Normally with satellite TV you have
a tuner set top box (STB) tuner that is used to decode the digital satellite
signal and convert it to something that your television can use. That means
that you must have a connection between the satellite box and your
television. Unless you plan to have a cable from your kitchen to your
family room, you will have to have your new MCE computer in the same room as
your STB or use a cable. If the run is too long, you may just wish to
consider having the computer in the same room as long runs of cable make it
more likely that you will pick up electrical "noise" which will become
visible on your TV.
