MAC address of T-Mobile SDA? Jens Roynlid 03-31-2006

 Does anybody know how to display the MAC address of the WiFi unit in the
T-Mobile SDA? I have looked at all the options screens that I can think of
but I can't find the MAC address anywhere. I need it for the MAC filtering
on my WiFi router.

 Two ways: 1- Comm Manager>turn on Wi-Fi>Settings(lower RH button)>Wi-Fi
Settings> Advanced tab.
OR
2- Turn on Wi-Fi > Start > Settings > Connections Tab > Wireless LAN >
Advanced tab.

In both cases Wi-Fi must be turned on, otherwise the field will be blank.

On most routers, you can also turn off mac filtering and allow the ppc
to connect to the router, then read read/copy the mac address from the
router status tables...

in some cases doing so will allow you to simply highlight the device and
add that mac to the router's filter table.
