Hi,
If you uninstalled ActiveSync all the installed applications are removed
from the Add/Remove option in ActiveSync. The best way to get them back is
to reinstall them on the PC.

Hi,
I do not know of an option to mass import the files that already exist into
the add/remove programs function.. Theoretically they may be out there in
their own directory.

Hi Erik,

The grayed out options indicate the application is available only on the
device. The option to remove/install quickly within the Add/Remove program
window appears when the desktop component is available along with relevant
registry keys. When the desktop files go missing or the registry entries go
missing it tends to show the app grayed out.

ActiveSync stores information about applications installed along with
related information in the registry under a certain key and if this key is
lost then it will appear grayed out. Therefore the only way you can get it
back is to reinstall the program so that the key & its relevant information
is rebuilt.

Note that incase, you want to remove the program from the device, you can do
so via the Pocket PC as well. Also if you are using a device older then WM
5.0, then it is recommended you don't use the 4.x version of ActiveSync.
