I posted a while back how I would periodically lose access to google, yahoo
and other sites after doing a toolbar search of the web.

It appears the real 'trigger' for this problem is like this: I log on and
in the middle of loading my www.excite.com home page I'll click the stop
button to stop this page mid-load. It will display that page that says the
page could not be found. After doing that, if I try www.google.com or
www.yahoo.com or to a toolbar search it will say those pages aren't found as
well. Some of my other 'favorite' pages may not be accessible, but others
might work.

It's like there is some flag or something happens with scripting to screw
this up. I've only noticed this problem when I had the Search/Toolbar stuff
installed.

If I close the browser completely and start over, usually the access to all
pages returns.
