Depending on the version of WDS you are running your index should be located
(normally) somewhere in your system profile.
i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\%user profile%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft
However there are group policies that the administrator can roll out to
redirect where your index is stored, so that may explain what you are
seeing. Also you can normally change the location of your index by going to
Windows Desktop Search Options, Advanced Options and clicking on the Change
button in the Index Location area.
