I'm not sure what the problem is with this laptop, but this screen
seems to display in 4 parts. Three work fine, one is discolored, like
a poor paint job was done, along with it not displaying lines
properly-- it won't display text completely. One line is there, the
next one isn't. It only goes for the right upper quadrant of the
screen.
What might I have?
1) a bad screen
2) a bad inverter
3) a bad lcd cable
4) bad connector in the mb.

Water was spilled into the keyboard area 2 weeks previous and this
problem cropped up about a week after the water incident.

thanks for any help.

Need to see a photo of the screen to even begin to suggest anything.

Can't. The system won't go on anymore. I swapped out the keyboard,
and then the unit would not go on anymore. Again, the way the
"badness" goes, is that it looks like there was paint spilled on top of
the LCD.. There's a couple of downward dips like a stock chart, and
there are lines that don't seem to show in the right upper quadrant.
That's the best I can do, and it's hard to come up with an answer,
considering the circumstances. If you have any ideas on what it
*might* be, I'd appreciate it, as right now, it's just complete
guesswork.. At least, I could get an evaluation from someeone a little
more knowledgable than I.
thanks for your help, if it is possible.
