Hi,

Have a t-mobile MDA with WM5. We also have Windows 2003 small business
server with exchange. We have set up the phone to activesync with the
Outlook exchange server wireless over the gprs or wifi connection. We
have sp2 installed. I have turned off cached mode. The phone and
Outlook are syncing wirelessly and updating new items.

*****However, when I delete a task, calendar item, contact item or
email off the phone and do an activesync, the item IS NOT deleted off
exchange or Outlook.

If I delete tasks, contacts, emails or calendar items off of my desktop
Outlook which is hooked up to exchange and do a sync it DOES delete
them off the phone.

For example -

I can add emails, contacts, calendar items and tasks on Outlook and
they sync to the phone.
I can add emails, contacts, calendar items and tasks on the pocketpc
phone and they sync back to exchange and outlook.
I can change items both ways and all changes occur both ways except for
deleting items off the phone won't delete them off the server and I
need them to.

Can anybody help me with a solution to get the deleted phone items to
delete off the exchange server and active sync after the wireless
syncing? I tried to call t-mobile but they couldn't help me. Is there
a delete access setting on the server or something?

Thanks in advance!
Shawn

I called Microsoft Technical Support for assistance and they first had
me test this issue on another identical pocket pc - luckily one of the
guys I work with had the same model and he was able to sync to my
exchange server and his worked fine - so they said it was something
wrong on my device (basically something had gotten corrupted), so
Microsoft had me reset the phone to factory default and redo all the
settings and configurations and redo the activesync. It then started
working / activesyncing properly after I reformatted it. Anyway, a new
issue has presented itself in that now the alarms don't sound off on
the calendar items. I reformatted again, and they worked at first but
have stopped again, so I don't know what is going on, but at least the
phone activesyncs with exchange server properly and can delete items
off the server.
